Skepticism, Doubt and Faith - Rev Dr Bob Deen

A healthy dose of “questioning” is a great tool for developing an understanding of what we believe & know. When we think we know it all, or are not willing to question what we believe, or are not willing to ask what it means when someone feels their prayers have not been answered, we are no longer in alignment with being “Open at the Top.” ​

A Question of Faith - Rev Dr Bob Deen

What is faith? How do you define faith and more importantly what does faith when actualized look like and feel like? Faith moves mountains and faith without works is dead which means faith is not passive but rather it is a vibrant and active demonstration of the Divine showing up in, through, with, and as us!

 As we wrap up this month’s theme, this concluding week is a great opportunity for proclaiming a statement of community faith that affirms identity, diversity, and the beloved mosaic of identity.

How is our inter-dependency fruit for our spirits? How do we come to build the beloved community in our hearts, minds, and spaces?​

Affirmation: “I AM the activity of inclusion. I embrace the multiplicity of Creation as a Community expressing Divinity on Earth.”

Color Blind or Color Full, Guest Speaker Rev Cynthia McCarthy

Can you imagine looking at a beautiful garden that has flowers with many different colors, textures and heights, but not being able to see the variations in color because you are color blind? That’s the way it is with people if one embraces the idea of color blindness. You don’t see the other person’s differences or the nuances that make them uniquely them.​

Affirmation: The nature of God’s great creation is one of diversity. I am not color blind. I see the colorful, wonderful and mystical variances that are expressed uniquely as each of us.​

Who are We? - Rev Dr Bob Deen

There is value in getting clear about our identities, individual and collective, and what we’re bringing to the table. Standing in our power and celebrating the identities of others is a gift. It also helps us foster Inclusion. ​

Affirmation: I stand proud of who I am. I adore myself and give myself love freely. I bravely heal my bias so that I can embrace all human beings and all of life with love.

Let’s Get Together and Feel Alright - Rev. Dr. Bob Deen

An opening to how our central principle of Oneness calls us together in a state of diversity and how the fact of Inclusion helps us live out this Oneness. Oneness does not equal sameness.  Unity does not mean uniformity​.
Affirmation:  I am one with Divine Intelligence, empowered by It, as a point of creative power. As such, I claim harmony, acceptance, love for All through inclusion of the diversity that delights my life.

 

The Tao of Freedom - Rev. Dr. Bob Deen

Freedom is more than something to receive. It is also a verb and really only has meaning and power as we use it. It is a quality of God that cannot be bound, enslaved, or imprisoned which means the Truth of us is also Freedom as a Divine Right, A Divine way of life.

Affirmation: My freedom is the awareness that all things live together for the good of all other things, and for the greater good of life itself.

 

The Truth will Set you Free - Rev Cynthia McCarthy

“You shall know the Truth shall set you free.” Every day and at times in each moment we are choosing how we shall live our lives. Upon what do we base our decisions, choices, behavior, and passions? Is principle or precedent the governing factor for how we show up in the world? Now more than ever is the time for us to stand on and apply the Truth that sets us free.

Affirmation: I recognize the Truth that the Infinite lives within me and expresses Its divine nature in me, as me and through me. 

None Are Free Until All Are Free - Rev Dr Bob Deen

As we all move toward a greater expression of freedom in our lives, we affect the unfolding freedom for everyone. The accumulated beliefs of the human race tell us that our freedom can be limited by the actions and beliefs of others. However, in a Universe of Oneness and Unity with the Divine, where Freedom is whole and complete inside each of us, why can’t we the fullness of Freedom? Through Spiritual Practice followed by Divinely Inspired action we can live freedom in out time NOW.

Affirmation: I make no secret of my connection with the Divine, but give it freely for the liberation of Mankind.
